I think it would be the township that would have a problem with a 415 ft coaster. The planes from the airbase are flying much higher then that.
Also having lived about 7 mins away from great adventure, I can tell you that the coaster noise is not a problem. In fact the only issue that I ever saw was the occational lose animal from the safari (nothing dangerous though)

Actually, isn't Gadv really good with keeping there animals inside the safari? I remember a couple years back there was a Tiger roaming Jackson and everybody started blameing Gadv, it turned out it wasn't Gadv it was a lady they call the "Tiger Lady" who houses former movie Tiger'd that were no longer needed.

Ha! I do remember that! It happened back in January 1999. This "Tiger Lady", who basically lives across the street from the outlets, had 23 tigers, and one escaped... it was a huge story here in Jackson...
Ah... memories...

Having lived down there, I've seen some weird aniamals around, that ended up coming from gadv. It's never the violant ones. I haven't been through the safari in a while, but I know at least a while ago they had some birds, and I know that they got out every now and then.

I haved lived in Jackson for many years and have never seen or heard of any animals getting loose from GA. Now the Tiger Lady thing is a whole other story. Sorry Chewman I had to add my input on that subject.

One more thing... They did everything in their power to attempt to tranquilize it, but failed after many tries, so they were forced to destroy it. Don't lock this so fast Chewman.

here is what i dont understand... why did Intamin build S:TE if they knew the S:TE car was only gonna go 300 - 310 feet up in the air... and if they knew that why did they build a 415 foot tower... i mean if u r going to design a structure that high and not use all of the track why did they just not build the track at perhaps 320 or 330.. that 2 me is just weird cause u think u r going to go 415 feet but u only really go 310 or 315 feet up... ~CoasTeRbOI~

well there really is only about 330 ft of track or so on the 415 ft tall STRUCTURE. the rid e is built on a hill (hence magic MOUNTIAN) it hangs over a hill so i has structure of 415 ft but the track nly goes from the launch track about about 330. this pic clearly shows the trak araea and the sturcture. rcdb.com/installationgallery140.htm?Picture=3the pic doesnt work so click the link
