Dan, ever knocked heads with someone sitting next you on the turnaround on RT? OUCH!!! Well, no, for two reasons: 1.) Technically, test rides on Rolling Thunder are supposed to be in a complete empty row; therefore I usually wasn't sitting next to anyone. 2.) When I did ride, I would usually rode in the left seat, the driver's side... Therefore there was no sliding. All I have to say is those seats are really uncomfortable for someone who does not have a petite figure... such as myself! ~Dan

Knock Viper down is the first thing I'd like to see. That is just a waste of space. Redesign BBL all those rides need to be replaced with newer versions. Get rid of the Batman arena or get a new show for it. That is also a waste of space.

The park will most likely never change there hours from 10 - 10 to 10 - 12. New Jersey has very strict minor laws that state 1) Minors can't work more than 8 hours a day and 2) Minors can't work after 11pm. Many employes at GA are minors (I was for two of the three seasons I worked there) and can't work till midnight because of that law. And before and one says that they should change the hours to 10 - 11 they wouldn't do that because they use that hour after the park closes to get rid of guests and to clean up the park. No minors can work past 11pm if they have permission, I work at the boardwalk and it used to stay open til 1am, I'm 16 and trust me they are legal when it comes to the labor laws.

About all this talk about minors working late-how come they can't find any adults to work past 11?I think it would be great if they could keep the park open until midnight(or later) in the summertime.Someone mentioned redesigning Bugs Bunny Land:no offense to the children out there, but how about removing it?They already have a Looney Tunes ride area behind Batman/Nitro.

No minors can work past 11pm if they have permission, I work at the boardwalk and it used to stay open til 1am, I'm 16 and trust me they are legal when it comes to the labor laws. If you get permission from a parent a minor can work untill midnight during school brakes that last more than 5 days (I know I since I was a lead at the park and you must know all the state minor laws) Even at that they would have no one there past midnight to clean up the park. And Eric do you now of any adults that really want to work at a theme park for close to minium wage. I don't. Why do you think so many minors work there. Also when you turn 18 you get stuck there working 10 hour shifts and having no life. Thats why many people don't go back after they turn 18.

Guys think about it when was the last time six flags but a wooden coaster into one of its major parks as the main attraction. The people want new innovative steel designs, not old school woodies. Roar at Six Flags Marine World was a big attraction!

Yes, and The Boss and The Villian at SFSL and WoA, respectively. There was also a Roar! at SFA, and Medusa, a woodie, was recently added to SFM. Don't forget Wild Wild West at WBMWs Madrid and Germany.

The reason that mostly minors work at GA is because pay there sucks so bad adults no better than to work there. Besides, the ride department is severly understaffed the only people who enjoy staying late are the internationals. They love to get hours. So if the park did stay open till 12 it would be fine until the ywent back home.
If they changed park hours till 12 more people would work during the day than at night. Take it from me I hate working till midnight and then getting up the next day. Bascially it means six flags sucks and until they treat their employees better then no one wants to work for them. You are right about the 10 hr shifts with no life, I work them now. Plus when you only get one break because staffing is bad you begin to wonder. It's illegal for anyone to work more than 8 hrs with less than 2 breaks. But hey no one's complained about it yet so who cares. Notice I said yet.

I don't know about anyone else out there, but I've worked in kitchens for most of my adult life-most of them low-paying.I'd rather be a ride operator!Wouldn;t you rather operate Medusa than flip burgers or pancakes? The only downside is that Great Adv. is seasonal(as opposed to year-round like SFMM).
