I think we all know what we need! We need a brand-new and updated Wooden! Mabye even a world record breaker!! One specifically designed not only to be the tallest/fastest/longest wooden, but also deliver the most air-time on the planet!! Heck, I'd almost rather see a brand new woody even if it wouldn't be the best instead of the Flyer. After a new woody, I'd like to see a Power Tower/Dominator type ride (common, y'all know we're missing one of them too!) Two things: 1) Put RT back to it's original layout, can anyone guess which section/ sections were reprofilled? Also remove the skids and either bet new trains, maybe MF's or upgrade the current trains. Right there you have a good wooden coaster. 2) Add another wooden, maybe a Wild Thing or Boss clone. If not maybe a RCCA/Stengel/Preimer looping wooden coaster that would duel without the problems. I think that would be a great fit IMO, of course #1 would have to be first......... I think that woood be the best

Right there you have a good wooden coaster. WHAT is your definition of "a good wooden coaster"? RT could go two ways: forward or backward, and BOTH would be good: 1.) Forward: new fin brakes, individual ratcheting lap bars, a new paint job, and a new re-tracking. 2.) Backward: get rid of the seat divider, and the head-rests, and you have a real classic woodie! THAT is what I'd like to see! And, I have no clue which "original profile"... as far as I know, this is the original RT layout... ~Dan

dan...please tell me you did not just ask for individual lap bars...... rolling thunders type of restraint are gods restraint....buzzbars are almighty airtime machines...

You are exactly right.......airtime machines.....Rebel Yell....good coaster...god darn restraints....no indivialual lapbars please....if they need extra restraints for running RT backwards...a seatbeat would be the most additional restraints i could vibe for

He didn't. He said that they could try to make it a newer coaster and add individual bars, new fin brakes, a new paint job and a retracking, or make it a classic wooden coaster, removing the seat divider and headrests, then went on to say that he'd rather it be a classic, so no, he didn't ask for individual lap bars, but, in fact, for just the opposite. I totally agree with what he said, but I think that the whole classic thing would only make sense if we did get a big, new woodie soon.

The passive restraint system is most definitely one of the best features of Rolling Thunder! Although it means we have to deal with standers every so often, that adds fun and variety to our work! Yes, the ride could use a paint job... or maybe it should never have been painted in the first place (THEN, people wouldn't complain...) The skid brakes are fun and different than the entire rest of the park. Rolling Thunder would not, could not, and will not function as a high-techology machine... it just wouldn't fit! ~Dan

1) Put RT back to it's original layout, can anyone guess which section/ sections were reprofilled? And to kinda stay on topic: - The whole park painted: Coasters, signs, buildings, everything. - Put back the old fountain, especially for fright fest. - Bring back the batman show or some kind of stunt show to the batman arena. - A new wooden coaster, that goes out into the woods a little, using the natural landscape, and as few trees being taken down as possible. Over by the northern star arena would be a good spot for this. - A 4d when the technology becomes available for it to run well would defiantly like to see the park hours go to 10-12 A great thing for them to do for PR would be to do a walk back to a particular ride for season pass holders or something like that. More water rides defiantly. I would actually like to see them take out some of the flat rides they put in back in ’99. Their placement seems almost random in some cases. I’d rather they go and take some out, keeping only the good ones, and the one’s they can staff. And then I would like to seem them move the ones they are keeping around, so that their placement doesn’t seem quite as random. Also if there is an underperforming flat ride that is old, take that out and replace it with one of the oddly placed ’99 ones.

A few comments on Nitro230's last post...
The whole park painted: Absolutely. That is one of the major distinctions between Hershey & Dorney and GA...
The fountain: I miss it. It's a great landmark for giving directions. Now, I don't know what to call it!
Park hours 10-12: No way. Just remember whenever the park is open from 10-10, there are many employees working fourteen or more hours. Going home at 1 AM, and having to be back at 9 AM, would NOT be fun.
Flat rides: Have you noticed that *most* of the older flat rides run best, with no problems? It's the 1999 ones that either suck or have the problems! (I mean, look at Taz Twister... that thing broke down once during my entire employment!)
So, anyway, to echo many other opinions, I think the park needs to simply improve what they have ALREADY... A major renovation and cleaning of all existing rides... It's disgusting!

Amen @ that! Now, where do we send this feedback to? There should be a online park feedback form on their main site.

If you call their number, (732) 928-1821, then select automated park information, then press 6 "to access our guest relations department," they'll give you an address to send a letter to. I did it once, but I rather obnoxiously recieved a paper with the Fright Fest hours on it, and no reply to my letter. I still think you should do it though. Even if you don't get a reply, it will get read, or at least some of it will.

The park will most likely never change there hours from 10 - 10 to 10 - 12. New Jersey has very strict minor laws that state 1) Minors can't work more than 8 hours a day and 2) Minors can't work after 11pm. Many employes at GA are minors (I was for two of the three seasons I worked there) and can't work till midnight because of that law. And before and one says that they should change the hours to 10 - 11 they wouldn't do that because they use that hour after the park closes to get rid of guests and to clean up the park.
