I dont think the festivals will return. First they didnt help bring in people. 2nd they only got the permit for the tents for this season. If your gonna get a permit and plan to keep something you would want to get it for more then 1 year.
I think the festivals stone area is a good spot form maybe a few new flats and maybe A de'Ja'Vu if they could make it woke. Or maybe a free fall ride! Only thing they would have to wathe out for the sky ride above!

Actually, I hope they leave that part of the park undeveloped. Before the festivals, that was the only place in the park where people could go to get away from the coasters, the rides, the stupid guests... If it comes down to building there, it would be very disappointing.

They should get rid of all the stone and picnic benches from the festivals , and return that area to all grass again. The stone kills the beutiful scenic area.

Definetly, it was such a beautiful part of the park, the one place you could get away from it all and relax for a short while. I hope they restore it and keep it quiet.

New Coaster Information Released: At a Jackson Township Planning Board meeting on September 10, Great Adventure officials proposed the new coaster to the board to receive a permit. At this meeting, a few facts were learned about the new attraction, which is confirmed as a coaster. Height: 122 feet Layout: Clone of Superman: Ultimate Flight at Six Flags Over Georgia, but taller and faster, but no new loading advancements. Location: At least some of this coaster will be in the season pass parking lot. The entrance will be in Boarwalk, next to Great American Scream Machine and will connect Boardwalk to Frontier Adventures. This is a clone see. And actually we were suppose to get a totally different coaster that they could not obtain approval over, so Great America and Great Adventure switched coasters. Now we are getting Great America's and Great America will most likely get ours. MY firend was at the meeting and he told me that the layout is a lot different. maybe some of the same turns and stuff but its different. And thinking about time warp i dont htink it wil lcome back becuase no one was on it last year.

Yea, I loved the Lakefront before the festivals came in. It was great bein able to walk towards/away from medusa to the other end of the park w/o havin to worry about crowds. It was like a regular grassy park where u can watch and enjoy the lake and trees and shade.

The festivals were a huge failure. Mainly cause Gadv didn't really deliver what they promised from them. They made it sound very, very decorative and almost make you feel like you were in italy or, china, or new orleans. But, it still felt like the same ol' Gadv lakefront. The only one festival that I actually attended and paid for something was Sports Fest, when Mick foley came. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Mick Foley brought in the most people out of any other festival or person. Only problem is that Gadv didn't make any of the profit from the autograph's and all the money went to charity, which is perfectly fine with me and I wouldn't be surprised if that were Foley's doing, but I'm sure the park wishes that they got the money from it.

Actually, from my personal experience, the busiest festival was Mardi Gras, the first one. Probably because no one knew what to expect from the festivals... this is Six Flags after all. A million bead necklaces and nine cases of indecent exposure later, the Mardi Gras festival was claimed a success... ~Dan

I was at mardi gras. I forgot to mention that it was a packed day in that festival. I was there 6/19 I believe. It was like a big party. All the other festivals were a bust.

They may decide to keep just that one festival and have it as an annual event like fright fest. Or maybe even Mardi Gras all season long ;D, since the festival stage will probably not be used for the summer of festivals next year.
