The stats have be revealled , and exact location of the coaster as well. What do you mean the stats of the new coaster have been revealed? I haven't seen them on the net, and how come nobody has posted them on the boards yet?

122 foot, located in the season pass parking lot, and has a loop. This was on coasterbuzz and six flags news.

What do you mean the stats of the new coaster have been revealed? I haven't seen them on the net, and how come nobody has posted them on the boards yet? What I meant was , that the stats and location of the future structure to be built , must be given to the planning board to get approval. Anytime you plan to build a structure , it has to get approved by zoning, and a permit is required to construct. I'm not from jackson so I don't know what their codes are. I know about building things that need permits and zoning approval. I just built my own house this past year , and it was a nightmare. There is so much involved you can't imagine. As for my last post , sorry I forgot to say "TO" before the be.

Yes, we are getting an exact clone of S:UF at SFoG. Except it will be taller and faster. There's a rumor however, that we weren't going to get this at first. According to the rumor the originally planned coaster called for the demolition of Viper, what happened no one knows for sure, but they decided to go with a different set of plans and keep Viper, which is why Viper was not dismantled in August like it was scheduled to be. The rumor goes further to say that this S:UF clone was actually intended for SFGAm, in that case its possible that Great America may end up with our intended coaster. I personally hope we didn't get the dud of the two. The name of the coaster is still not known, but Gadv will make a formal 2003 anouncement on October 23, which is MUCH earlier than usual, about 3-4 months earlier, very unlike SF style. Being that it is an S:UF clone the name will most likely be Superman related, if not exactly the same as S:UF. Which makes me wonder if SF is going to make this their second signature coaster. Up until this point there is really only one true SF signature coaster and thas B:tr. While S:ros is arguable it is not the same layout from park to park and the coasters named S:ros are all very different in their layout. Which makes me wonder yet again if indeed our B:tr was actually striped of its original building plans and was made a clone and signature coaster. If these are both the cases then we would be the park that started both signature coasters of SF.

Vey well said JJ2K. All I'd like to add is that I heard that we were supposed to get a woodie (most likely an Intamin Plug and Play) that was to begin near viper/ former El Sombrero space (that's why the markers were there, and go all around FA, even through RT and near Runnaway Train, and in back of the Northern Star Arena. I heard that GAdv very discreetly looked for approval, but did not recieve it because the new coaster would have been built on "undisturbed nature land" or something of the sense. After that, I heard that our plans were swapped with SFGAm's, which were supposed to get the S:UF clone.

well the reason for that jj is that because what do they have about a month later??? the lights spectacular. and also that will give more people to plan trips and bring up attendence.

Where's the originality???.........ugh .....i am sure that S:UF is an awesome ride.....but i would at least like to see something a little different.....i noticed that the GP flocks to rides with superhero names......i mean look at the two hour waits on batman this summer with near walk-ons on nitro....so it might be a good money maker for the park....and thats always good

This came as a big surprise to me. Especially because they're not even waiting for the season to end to announce it. Even so, I can't wait!
