I was just thinking! It seams TO ME that the early work on Fright fest COULD very well be so they can cover up any work they might start doing on the NEW coaster in the up and comming weeks!
It just seams VERY early to start Fright fest stuff. Also if any one ask what the construction is for (Seeing they do start work on a new coaster) they can NOW say its for Fright Fest!
Notice the Fright Fest stuff is In Fronteir Adventure!
What do you all think?
~PEACE~

They always start setting up for Fright Fest the first week they close on weekdays. It takes them all of September to actually set up for the event.

They decorate the park a bunch....have people in costumes walk around.......they have the hayride(which i pretty cool sometimes).......they have a show in front of the big wheel(deadman party) and sometimes one or two other shows

Last year was much weaker than previous in terms of Fright Fest. It was less scary with less attractions with many more people. Hopefully this year is an improvement. As soon as I find out the information on attractions, they will be posted on the Fright Fest page.

I liked fright fest when it was actually frightful, now its not. And I do not blame the park for this at all. I blame the guests who bring there kids where they shouldn't and then complain that it was too scary for the kids. The hayride use to be really good when it had the amazon theme, but ever since then its been pretty bad and more comical then scary, which it shouldn't be in a halloween event. If you want to see a good Fright Fest show I'd say hypnosteria is the best, I just hope they have it this year.

Yea, FF wasnt as good as it has been last year, and i agree, hypnosteria is a great show..definitely worth watching if u never saw it, or even if u saw it before. The hayride is more funny than scary too. But anyway, I saw all the FF stuff set up all over the park, u kno, the webs and stuff, and all the winter lights set up all over gadv and hh.

Frightfest was different last year due to 911. lest scary. and if you were at the park last year you would have also noticed that no skeletons, bones or other were displayed in the park.

I actually went to the park as a guest two years ago during Fright Fest... the biggest downside is that because everyone (such as myself) has left for school, there is no one to run to rides! A lot of the flats will soon be closing, and even Rolling Thunder will have, at least, rows closed off as the weather gets cooler. It's so sad!

Last year they did away with deadmans party as a tribute to 9/11. But, FF started getting toned down way before 9/11. It was as soon as premeir took over that it started toning down. 1998 was by far the best one, if I can remember right, with the Amazon hayride, and they positioned the T-rex perfectly so, you couldn't see it before you got up to it. Ever since premier took over fright fest has changed to comedy fest and I really can't stand that. Cause haloween is my favorite holiday. Now, from what I've learned its that people when they think of halloween think of one of two things. Either: candy or the horrorness and I can assure you I don't think of candy thas like the last thing on my mind when I hear halloween. So, if you think I'm weird for having my favorite holiday as halloween its probably because you think of candy when you hear halloween.

ok, let me clear this up for all of you. the decorations for fright fest always go up once the park goes weekends. realizing that fright fest sucked ass last year, this year the park decided to dress up the entire park. every section of the park will have webs and various creepy things. in fact, the enetertainment department started cutting webs back in the beginning of august to get a head start on the extra decorating. now, the decor in frontier adventures, or basically mexico, was done not for any "cover up" for a new roller coaster. it was done because once that's finished they can focus more attention to main gate and bigger projects like the hayride. besides, i don't think a couple of webs are gonna hide pieces of track. yes the rumors are true, the park is getting a flying coaster, but it's not there yet and no amount of cheese cloth(what the webs are made of) is gonna cover it up. now the reason i know all this fun info is beacuse i'm the one who hung the webs in fronteir advevtures, and i didn't see no track. decorations as a cover up?!? that's just silly. can i clear something else up too? somebody on this site has got their names mixed up, because dead man's party was there last year. that's the name of the show in front of the big wheel and it wasn't cancelled last year. the show that wasn't there last year was dr. fright's final freakout, and it wasn't not there because of a tribute to 9/11. we knew for a long time prior to 9/11 that it wasn't coming back last season. other things like the hayride were toned down because of it, but not final freakout since that was never gonna be there anyway.

Your absolutely right I did mix them up, sorry bout that. So what was the reason of why they got rid of that show, I thought it was a great show.
