Actually the Haunted Houses aren't free, but it's still an absoloutely AMAZING FrightFest. I wish we had even half of that.

Oh woops, it still does look amazing. You'd think that since we are like the biggest SF park we'd be able to have more than WoA, but what do we have I don't even think we have half the number of attractions as WoA, not to mention no haunted houses or mazes at all. Well, either way I'm happy to hear that FF is starting to come back to its original form.

Just heard the the Swoa frightfest is a very big bust. No staff and all of the haunted houses only have about 5 people in them - wow what a scare. Also some of the things they listed for frightfest didn't even open. Once again swoa doesn't deliver on any promise - for example the killer whales - what happened there? boy can't this park do anything right.

I was at Gadv on 9/29(last running day before fright fest) and fright fest work was being finished up. The boardwalk is coverded in those rainbow colored flags that are connected by string (used a lot when new stores open) for the circus show freaks I presume. The old stage in the fountain for fright fest last year is gone instead they kepth the same SF stage and took the SF out and were tying skeletons and skulls to it when I was leaving. The movietown end of the park does not seem like it will have much of anything besides the hayride there is very little decorating on that side of the park. A HUGE inflatabile spider has found a home atop Dolphin Discovery. Surprisingly FF brochures were not available as of yet. It seems that frontier adventures will be the heart of fright fest (esspecially in front of Runaway train from what I hear thats where this "bone collector" guy is gonna be hanging out and WILL be scaring passer byers so watch out ) I think that was it.

Thanks JJ, it should be much better this year. I'll hopefully be getting up there on Saturday for some pictures, and everyone can start sending in their review of FF and the attractions for the Fright Fest Guide.

Hey, Just wondering if anyone knew whether SFGA usually does anything to Skull Mountain during FF. Have never been to SFGA during FF, but am ready to go there Oct. 5th this year and wondered if it's even worth to go on Skull Mount.

They did in 2000. They put neon track in, plus heavy metal gothic music really loud, plus strobe lights, plus blacklights, plus colored spotlights, plus these pumpkin and skeleton figure things. That was the last and only year they ever did it, and unfortunately, these great effects are VERY rarely used now, even though they made the ride 10 times cooler. But I'd say given the way that they've beefed up Fright Fest this year, there's a fairly strong possibility that some of those effects, along with new effects, might appear, announced or not. Either way, if the line takes up half of the cave or less, just go for it. It's a cool ride and if you sit in the last car you get the best airtime anywhere when going down the first hill.

That's really to bad because that is one ride that they can actually really customize to FF
