Since King Chewman closed the thread on the Chatter board, we can legally start it here. I had beer for the first time last Friday night, at my first college party. It was nasty, and the after-effects are even worse. Just my personal opinion, of course. ~Dan

I tried a sip of beer once and it's nasty. Tastes horrible IMO. Wine coolers taste sooo much better and have much less alcohol.

one time i drank a 40 oz of old english wich is a Malt Liq' and man did i sooooo regret that, cause the next day i was pucking my guts out and i made a promise to my self that i would never ever drink beer again, plus all that Yeast makes u r tummy puff up, kinda like the way soda does that to you, thats why i just drink water or juice... but now i dont drink beer what so ever and i bet the only thing i will drink is Tequila here and there, and u r occasional Brandy or Red Italian Wine... but other than that i guess beer showed me a lesson... so like i mentioned before TEQUILA BABY YYEEAAAAHHHHHHHH ;D ~CoasTerBOi~

well as someone who doesnt drink, yet attend many parties, if you dont like beer you try wuss drinks ie mikes and stuff or hard liquor mixed with sumtin. wuss drinks? beer doesn't have much more % alcohol by volume than a hard lemonade or apple cider. wine and mixed drinks (if they're made right) have much more. the fact of the matter is, beer is an acquired taste for many people. they start drinking it because that's what other people drink, and only after a while does it become palatable. now, i'm not saying that it's impossible to have your first beer and say "wow, this tastes great--it's one of my favorite beverages now." but i'd bet you a roller coaster that those people are in the minority. if you're drinking for flavor, i think beer tastes pissy. i've tried to experiment with different kinds, but when i have beer with a meal, i just keep thinking how much better a coke would taste with my food. and hard cider is not a wuss drink. i know plenty of guys who prefer it. if you're drinking to get tipsy (which you shouldn't be doing often anyway), beer makes you much more stomach sick than wine or hard liquor because it's so bulky. chasing shots, mixing drinks, or having wine works much better. the two times i ever got sick it was from beer (and malaysian food, but that doesn't explain the other time). so if you don't like beer, don't drink it. if people think you're a wuss for not having it, they either have uncommon palates or are hypersocialized into thinking its great. or they have hard liquor first so that by the time beer is around, they don't taste much of anything. don't believe the often loud and obnoxious minority of beer fanatics.

Wine, yugggh! Especially Champagne . Beer smells drinkable, I've yet to actually take a sip. My friends say Mike's is good, but they shouldn't be drinking now anyway. Besides they have really BIZZARE commercials. But I've got about 6.5 years until I can worry about that.

champagne is good... wine is too, except i've only had communion wine and that's a whole different story LOL... my grandpa is a beer drinker, so i might drink some of it when i'm home alone... it's non-alcoholic too so i wont have to worry puking all over the place the next day... or not, god im a wuss... and if you do want to try something alcoholic, drink it on a weekday, so the next day you wont have to go to school if you puke a lot.

Lol about that last one. That's your opinion Linkinpark. Mine is that Champagne tastes like earwaxy seltzer. You should have seen the face I made after trying it at my Bar Mitzvah: -> , lol.

I do enjoy drinking Guiness but that is mainly becuase it tastes more like black coffee than beer. I really do not like the taste of the normal beers like bud, coors, etc. I prefer the mixed drinks like run and coke or kahlua and cream.
