Ok guys, I gotta know... Is Hypnosteria real? I'm a little skeptical and I never did believe in hypnosis anyway. But the one chick that was up on stage looked like the chick that was standing in front of me in line on the Nitro before the show so it can't be all setup? And afterall, the guy did admit hypnosis doesn't work on the majority of the population. It was an interesting show non the less but I dunno...lol...one of my friends is going to go up on stage and try it this weekend. I wont because if it is real and it does work on me, I don't wanna make an ass of myself in front of everyone, lol. ;D So guys, is Hypnosteria real or setup?

A few of my friends did it two years ago and actually had no idea what they did. It was so funny. So yea, I'd have to say it's real, to an extent. They can't do rea complicated stuff though. I heard some statistic that only a small percentage of people can actually be hypnotized, so I am sure some people must fake it, though.

I'm still skeptical. That can't be real. He can't just magically make you do stuff. If so I want to learn a few things from him.

If so I want to learn a few things from him. we had a hypnotist at our afterprom and although he didn't hypnotize me, he did semi-hypnotize everybody. he made one of our arms move down without us realizing it by suggesting that we were holding something heavy. it takes a certain tone of voice on the hypnotizer's part and susceptibility to suggestion on the receiver's part. it is a real psychiatric technique, although it's rarely used due to its various problems.

Actually the guy did admit to the audience halfway through the show that only around 25% (I think) of the population was susceptible to hypsnosis. And also that was the reason why he would be sending certain people off the stage back to their seats during the show so that only the remaining people on stage where the ones that where truly able to be hypnotized. So until I see it work on one of my friends, I'm about 50/50 if it's real or setup. Either way, still a interesting show, lol. That's funny! I was thinking the same EXACT thing! ;D
