Hey, I'm going to SFNE from the Monday, July 29th to Thursday, August 1st and I was wandering if anyone could give me some tips. I was hoping for info on ride waits and what rides to go on and what rides to skip.
Are both the blue and red trains running on SROS or did they take the blue train off for repair after the red one came back?
Thanks

Here is my tips for Six Flags New England.......
1.Get there at 9:30 2.Try to get to the front of the crowd on main street. Usually an employee walks the crowd down to SMROS. I would ride Superman first because if its a busy day you wont have to wait an hour. Superman is running 2 trains on the weekend but not on week days.
Most of the rides are worth it but make sure you get on the following flat rides:
Tomahawk Double Trouble Twister Time Warp SCREAM Nightwing (if open)
Things to note: - The Mind Eraser will bang your head around! - Batman the Dark Knight is very very short! - Thunder Bolt though small is worth the wait!
FINALLY FAST LANE IS OPEN SO GIVE IT A TRY!!!!

I went there last August (after the S:ROS trains crashed, so i couldnt ride it..) and here's my 2 cents about the coasters, not including S:ROS or BtDK. I would hit the Riverside Cyclone first. That is one of the best woodies i have ever been on. It's tall, very fast, and a long ride too. If you try to hit that during the day, it will be a very long wait, because it's popular. I walked right on in the morning, but the lines can get long. Flashback, their boomerang, is right near it, so you can hit that while you're there. The line for that isn't too bad, but could be cuz it's a one train ride. The Thunderbolt, another woodie, is a small, classic woodie that only runs one train, so therefore, it could be a long wait (i waited about 20-30 mins.). It may look like nothing, but it's actually quite a good ride. Scream! (the s&s towers) is another ride that could get long lines, but it's a great ride. Mind Eraser is an okay ride, lines r usually about 15 mins, no big deal. It's kinda rough, not worth goin on if the wait's more than 30 mins. I would help ya with S:ROS and BtDK, but I didnt ride them, so I dont know. Oh, when your by S:ROS, ride the Nightwing. That is a great flat ride. It's like Gadv's spin meister, except your in a flying position! If there's a long line, try again later, cuz it takes them a very long time to load/unload. But dont miss that. Theres some more rides in that section of the park, but they were closed so i couldnt tell ya how they are. Poison Ivy's Tangled Train is the same as our BBLTT, so its not important. If you plan on hittin the waterpark, watch out. It can get VERY crowded, no matter what time of the day it is. So be ready to wait for every slide/ride. Overall, I had a great trip there when i went. Hope this helps ya. Andrew

Thanks a lot! I'm really looking forward to SROS and I'm hoping their won't be any long lines. I went to SFNE when it was still Riverside so I haven't rode any of their new rides. Thanks again. ;D

you'll instantly fall in love wiht sros the minute you ride it. Its my favorite coaster in the world. Even though batman is short, its still a lot of fun. I like it a little more then Medusa b/c theres no mid course brakes and it keeps a good pace. The best is right after the zero-g the little drop. That was my favorite part of the ride. As for the Cyclone I didnt like it i thought it it was too rough. Thunderbolt was a great ride even though it looks lame. Scream is great and Blizzard River is a must. MInd Eraser isnt that bad, i find this to be one of the better ones i've ridden. A good place to eat is at Subway. The only one I know of is the one by flashback. Well have fun and make sure you got the back of SROS. If you think Nitro is good this coaster will blow you away.

Yeah the SROS at SFA blew me away and is now my #2 coaster behind simply the best in millenium force.

Actually I have heard that SROS at SFA really isn't that good and that nitro is a lot better than that one.

if you think the sros at SFA is better then Nitro then be prepared to be amazed on what a real hyper coaster is. IMO SROS at SFNE is the best steel coaster in the world. Yes its better then Millenium Force. As for lines the lines shouldnt be that long in the day but around 6 or 7 that might change since its a friday. However every time I've been there, people start leaving around 8. Also if its hot a lot of people will be in the waterpark so lines for coasters wont be that long. Have a good trip and post a trip report.

Superman, in my opinion, is much better than MF because it provides much more airtime and has the mist filled tunnels. The layout of the track is much better as well. MF is too fast through the cource and there is less airtime as a result. There is also much more freedom in the SM cars. There is no head rest which lets you move around more.

I just went to the park on a weekday, arriving at around 1PM. Waits for coasters were 1.5 hours for Superman, 1.5 hours for Cyclone, 15 min. for Batman, 45 min. for mind eraser, and about 20 min for The Thunderbolt. To get around the lines, I got Lo-q which really helped. Instead of waiting an hour for Superman on line I waited an hour still, but in that time I rode Batman and Thunderbolt. It's a great system and I recommend it.
Oh yeah..Im new here, first post. Hi! Lol...
Enjoy your trip!
