Yes! I seen that too! Me and a freind both got season and parking passes and the line at the main entrance for season passes was also long so we decided since we had to go to the other end of the park to get our passes processed anyway, we'd just walk down through the parking lot to the season pass entrance. WOW we made a mistake!! Like you said, the season pass entrance was exceptionally crowded!
We seen it get stuck on the lift hill in the late afternoon.
It was opened early in the day but by the time we had gotten our season passes processed, it was closed down. Bummer because I actually hadn't ridden it in awhile and wanted to.
What time was this? In the late afternoon the line was midsize (around 25 minute wait for the front) and some kids dad was giving the OPs a hard time for about ten minutes when they wouldn't let his son ride (not tall enough). OPs as usual on the Medusa had cool music playing (heard two Guns N' Roses songs)
We closed the Nitro for the second visit in a row. We where the last riders of the night and in the front seats as well!
Before getting on for the last time, the OPs let everyone but row 1 remain in their seats since noone else was waiting for the other rows.
We usualy skip this ride unless it's the end of the night and the line is short or we have a Q-Bot. This is because we go to Dorney so much and have ridden the Talon a million times.
Hhhmmm... When we got there both sides where running. Lines where short and started up in the loading station on both sides (this was late around 5/6pm, I think). We rode Batman first then did Robin later at night 15 minutes before park closing time. Batman side had been shut down by then anyway. Skipping this ride is against my religion.
Yes! It WAS smooth today! Thanks to not having the first set of trim brakes on.
Did you notice how much faster it was then usual?
That's correct! I'm starting not to trust anyone on this message board because two different times someone said that there was track arriving and even seen it in a certain location, it was never there when we went. And yes, the sign is true.
And to finish up my trip report; After all summer of passing up the Houdini the Escape and Dino Island 3D Turbo ride due to always running for the big rollercoasters, we finally decided to do something different and check them out. Houdini caught us by suprise because the first part where you're watching the movie and stuff in the room jumps around and makes people jump, we thought that was it, lol. Then when we entered the second room and sat down we thought that just the table on the one side in the middle of everyone was going slide across the floor and scare everyone, lol.
I gotta say Houdini made me more dizzy then any rollercoaster ive ever been on! The way the floor and walls move independant of each other really gives you the impression you're actually going upside-down.
Heck, half the time I couldn't figure out what side was up and what side was down.
Fun ride that tweaks with your senses, hehe. We rode it twice that day.
Dino Island was also very good like Houdini but in a different way. The fish and bugs and what not looked like you could reach out with your hand and grab them. They had to shut it down midway through the movie because some kid was crying or something so we got to start over from the begining and get two rides in one. I'll definetly make time for both those rides on future trips. Yup... Life's not always all about rollercoasters... well... sometimes, hehe
Also I wanted to say, they must be taking my feedback because they actually had music playing throughout the park (first time I heard it all summer) and also I seen guys going around the park cleaning up Dorney Park style (also a first), hehe. But as always, as much as we've been there this summer, we had a great time and a different experience.
