I went to Florida on 8/8 and returned 8/13. I've been back for a while but I just got my computer back b/c it crashed when I was writting my trip report. I'll have it up soon b/c it is taking me a while to write it. Anyways for a quick report I'll give you this:
Parks:
Sea World- Good park with some good shows and a couple rides. Kraken was awsome 9 out of 10. Journey from Atlantis was unique but I expected more of a roller coaster, 7 out of 10. Wild Arctic simulator made me kind of sick, 5 out of 10. Best shows were, otters, shamu and dolphins.
IOA- My number 1 favorite park. Great rides, theming and shows. Hulk was amazing, 9 out of 10, but it doesnt need the mid course brakes. Dueling Dragons was amazing. Fire Dragon was awsome, 9 out of 10, great layout. Ice Dragon was good 8.5 out of 10, except its better at dueling then fire, however half the time the 2 weren't dueling. Dudley Do Right's Ripsaw falls was amazing. The best log flume I've ever been on, I give it a 9 out of 10. Popeye and Bluto's was good. I expected to get more soaked but it had good theming and nice layout, 8 out of 10. Jurassic Park was cool nice drop but you don't get wet. Kind of short but good, 7 out of 10. Cat in the Hat was neet, 6 out of 10. Spiderman was awsome, words can't describe it, 9 out of 10. Dr. Doom was good, usuall 200ft blast off tower ride, 8 out of 10. Poseidons Fury was a cool show, not worth a 50 minute wait, so use express.
Universal- Amazing. The rides were great and so were the shows. Rock Horror show was the best. Men in Black was absolutely cool and amazing, 9.5 out of 10. Kong wasn't that great, I can't wait to see what they put in its place. Terminator was also amazing and so were the rest of the rides.
Wet & WIld- Cool waterpark. Cool slides a lot of which I never been on. Bomb Bay was the best, 10 out of 10. I don't know how tall it was (it was tall) but it was vertical speed slide, except instead of laying down, you stand in a capsule and the floor drops out and then you freefall down the slide. It was the biggest rush I've ever gotten from a ride in a while. The sensation of freefalling is unbelievable especially since you start standing up. Storm was another good ride. Its a bowl slide were you go down a curved slide and then slide around in a bowl until you drop 6 feet into a pool. I'd never been on a bowl slide but that was cool, 8 out of 10.
Busch Gardens- Wasn't expecting to go here but I was glad we did. Great theming and rides. Kumba was awsome 9 out of 10, probably my favorite ride in the park. Montu was right behind it, 8.5 out of 10, I didn't get to ride it enough to make it better then Montu. Gwazi was ok, 8 out of 10, decent ride but they didn't duel them so it took something away from the ride. Rhino Rally was cool, and unique. Scorpion and Python were small compact coasters that are good to ride for a while as long as theres no wait. I give them both a 6 out of 10.
I'll post a long report sometime within the next week. I'll edit this and post it in this topic.
Also if your going to Florida and want to visit these parks, I suggest getting the 5 park Orlando Flex Ticket. It gives You unlimited use to all 5 parks for 14 straight days. It also gives you free transportation to Busch Gardens on the Busch Gardens Express Bus. The good thing is it only cost 200 per person. I was there 6 days and if I went to one park each of the days, it would cost 300. However with this I was able to do multiple parks in one day. Like if I wanted to go to the waterpark in the morning/mid afternoon, and then to IOA in the evening, I could. Its a great deal.
