And they're actually gonna call it Superman: Ultimate Flight? That could be cool if they did, and put it in the Boardwalk, then made the Boardwalk into Metropolis and Movietown into Gotham City.

See, but on many rumors boards this time last year, many people thought that what we now know as "Nitro" was going to have a Superman theme. Others thought Nitro as a reference to wrestling. Six Flags may just try to differentiate the two different flyers...
I just had another crazy thought... maybe coaster one on Rolling Thunder is closed, in part, so they can start working on that crossover that I originally heard about... I haven't been there in a month, but that's possible...

Dan what do you mean nitro as a reference to wrestling could you explain cause I hadn't heard of that one. What SF may be doing is making its second signature coaster. Batman has one, why shouldn't superman, well now superman is getting one. I really like the idea of making movietown into Gotham city and Boardwalk into metropolis, I mean for whatever reason I REALLY like that idea I think that would be great. However, I don't think its very likely since they just did a lot of renevation to the boardwalk area only last year and many of those renovations included adding the name "boardwalk" to a lot of different things. However, its still possible and I'd love to see it done. Remember Batman: the ride is 10 years old next year and maybe thats what they'll do to celebrate, although I'm very doubtfull about that and SF will probably run the whole season without even mentioning B:tr's tenth year, but hey you never know.

Dan what do you mean nitro as a reference to wrestling could you explain cause I hadn't heard of that one. I think it was because of the "NITRO" wrestling show on TNT. Remember Batman: the ride is 10 years old next year and maybe thats what they'll do to celebrate, although I'm very doubtfull about that and SF will probably run the whole season without even mentioning B:tr's tenth year, but hey you never know. I definitely agree with that. B:TR is a very popular coaster at our park, and I think that a considerable amount of the GP would be turned off if they knew it was 10 years old. Remember, most of the GP comes for Nitro and Medusa, not Rolling Thunder and Mine Ride, if you know what I mean.

I think it was because of the "NITRO" wrestling show on TNT. Yup. Although it wasn't on this board, it was on the rumors board at ThrillRide, which no longer exists. Once words about the name "Nitro" leaked, people started jumping to these kinds of conclusions. ~Dan

Oh, ok I see well its a good thing they didn't cause, well first off I hate WCW I'm and avid WWE fan. And second WCW is gone they lost to their competition (WWE) and was bought out by their competition and the nitro show is no longer in existence.

Dude do not listen to your friend here is officially what was shown at the meeting:
New Coaster Information Released: At a Jackson Township Planning Board meeting on September 10, Great Adventure officials proposed the new coaster to the board to receive a permit. At this meeting, a few facts were learned about the new attraction, which is confirmed as a coaster.
Height: 122 feet Layout: Clone of Superman: Ultimate Flight at Six Flags Over Georgia, but taller and faster, but no new loading advancements. Location: At least some of this coaster will be in the season pass parking lot. The entrance will be in Boarwalk, next to Great American Scream Machine and will connect Boardwalk to Frontier Adventures.
It is a clone.

It's not really a clone if its taller and faster. That means that it is diffrent, just not that much.

Well, it really isn't much taller though either, as a matter of fact its not even a story taller. Its only taller by 7 ft. which really doesn't result in too much of a different ride experience.

I would not be so quick to say that there will be no new loading advancements. Also, the reason it is taller is the different terrain at Great Adventure compared to SFOG.

Height does vary on several clones out there. They all still give the same ride experience, as some here already responded to.
I also will back up the last post. Some major things will be modified in the loading systems of the new B&M flyers (these being at two parks that I am aware of at the moment).
