Remeber the statement saying the four big Six Flags parks (SFGAm, SFGAd, SFOT, SFMM) were stated to be receiving new attractions in 2003. It aslo said after this upcoming year at least two of these parks will receive new attractions each year. I figure SFMM will keep getting new attractions. My question is do you think SFGAdv will be the second one and follow in the foot steps of SFMM and get new rides everysingle year. I hope so since we have so much land and are able to have the room to build the new attractions. Click this link: biz.yahoo.com/cc/7/20697.html and listen to the confrence call.

I would definitly think so, since we're like the flagship park and make more money than MM does. However, Burke may try to keep the original Six Flags park up to date, that being SFoT. But, from what I have heard, SFoT really doesn't have that much room, even now its really packed, so the chances there aren't that likely. So, that leave Gadv and Gam. I don't know much about Gam besides the fact that they are the homw of many B&M firsts, so I don't know. But, I would venture to say that we are the second park since we are the flagship park and also the largest park in the SF change.

I certainly think so, because that way, SFMM will be the western US's major SF park, and Gadv will be the east's major park. And Gadv has the most room of them all to build new attractions.

I don't know which six flags park brings in the most money, but i do think gadv is in the top 3. As for the next 3 years:
2003- B&M Flyer 2004 probably gonna fix up most of the rides and maybe some new flat rides 2005 probably a GG or a GCI woodie.

yea i think in 2001 we were the number one grossing park out of the six flags. thats pretty good considering we are a seasonal park. However in 2002 we dropped a lot and thats one reason why i think we will keep getting things.

Yes, in 2001 Gadv was the top grossing SF park. But, not only that, Gadv was also the top grossing Seasonal park. It came in at #14 in the top 20 list. However, SF was beaten out by every other chain competetor. Cedar Fair beat them out with Knotts berry farm. Disney beat them out with every park they have (understandable). Universal beat them out with every park they own (understandable). Seaworld beat them out with their florida and california complexes. Even Busch Gardens beat out SF with their Tampa complex. So, while Gadv the park itself had major success, the SF company itself failed terribly. I tend to believe we'll get a flyer next year a wooden in 2004 and then they'll tone things down in 2005, then have something yet again in 2006.

Well you can't expect a seasonal six flags park to pull the same kind of numbers as disneys and universals destination vacation resorts.

Dude, I know that, that's why I said that Gadv as a park succeeded amazingly last year, but the SF company as a whole failed. I'm not saying that Great Adventure didn't do good, cause they did amazing. I'm saying SF didn't do good cause it fell behind every one of their major competitors. I'm not sayin that I expect a seasonal SF park to go any higher than that, but SF should really work on their year round parks. Cause for a seasonal park to make more than a year round park, that is amazing for the seasonal park, but that isn't really good for the year round.

While I know this is the rumor section and all these things sound great, we need to come back to reality here for a second. None of the neat things that we are talking about here are worth a hill of beans without people to operate them. While you don't see it much on this board the others are constantly crying about how SFGADV never has the rides open, how the park never does this that or the other thing yet if you ask park supervisors or officials the story is always the same. We would love to have everything open up running and the park looking it's best but, we can't do it witout help. Even here from time to time you get ex employees who do nothing but complain. There has to be an answer, but I will say if the park isn't supported with labor it can't run the things we want. Think about that for a while.

Zeusagis, there are PLENTY and I mean PLENTY of threads and posts on this forum that say what Gadv should be doing. The number one thing I think I've heard is RT needs to be painted. However, as far as the ride situation, zeusagis, pleas take a visit to MM and when you come back please tell us how many flats were open. MM is MUCH worse than Gadv. MM even has 4 or 5 coasters that aren't running at a time and sometimes only one or two flat rides open; I mean at least Gadv opens all the coasters it can ( think the most that were down at one time were two, and that wasn't for long). This year Gadv, in my eyes, did a great job as far as ride openings go. Pretty much every ride that could be open was open, they did a great job this year, FAR better than MM.

Thanks Zeusagis. That is the real problem here. Half of the seasonals quit mid-season when they already can't find enough help and the other half call out. There is only a select group that really "care" about how things are run. However, the park still needs to do a better job in retaining their employees. The turnover wouldn't be so bad if people actually liked working for Six Flags. I've heard nothing but bad things in regards to the current management. Think about it, Disney and Universal pay about the same and they don't have that many staffing problems.

Disney and Universal have MAJOR issues retaining staff. It's just that for everyone that quits or gets fired there are another 3 who want to get hired. But they are constetnly hiring
