i never rode shockwave, but since it was a standup i no it had a floor, and you would have felt the floor, so maybe shockwave doesnt fit in the list

You could ride Shockwave without touching the floor. I wouldn't recommend riding it that way today! It also depended on someone's height

Yes, you are right darkridedan about the wood coaster and how many steel coasters we have gotten. However, that is standard SF procedure you see at all SF parks. SF would much rather spend money on a steel coaster that they know if they for some reason ever need to get rid of it, it will be much easier than if they had a wooden. SF does not like woodies cause woodie take work. You need to touch them up and give them a little TLC here and there. SF doesn't like to take time out of their "busy" schedule to be doing these things when they know if they get a steel they wont have to deal with these things. The way I see it SF likes steel's cause they are a lot more independent than the average woodie. Would I like to see a wooden absolutely, but I still think we need need a 21st century coaster being the flagship park and what is SF about: coasters.

You are right about the lazy, low-class attitude that Six Flags has towards woodies. That's why they are attracting those crowds at the park and for employement.
Six Flags may be the most recognized brands among teens. The problem is that teens alone don't have the souce of funds to keep the parks running. That is why the stock is where it is. Coasters were not what Great Adventure was designed to be about.
It was designed to be "a total entertainment park... offers a dazzling array of spectacle, excitement, beauty and VARIETY which no other entertainment can approach."

I have to agree. I don't think Warner Leroy would like the way Gadv, his baby, turned out. When Gadv was first opened it was compared to Disney and was said to be the coney island of the future. Well, there's an obstacle Gadv would have to get over to achieve those things again and that obstacle is Six Flags. Actually the whole SF company has an obstacle to get over and thas Kierian Burke.
