This is a rather sketchy, yet possible rumor and I have heard three different versions of it. Well, we all know about the superman coaster coming next year, but to go along with it I have heard that Gadv is going to open the first SF Superman Show. Now where it will be is where the rumors get seperated. The first one states that it will take over the old Batman arena.
The second one states that it would be impossible for it to take over the batman arena since you need superman to fly and there is no roof for a rope to be attached to the person, so rather it will be in the enclosed arena in front of chiller and that, that arena will be made much larger for more seating and a bigger stage. And that the circo magnifico show will be moved to the movietown arena where it will be much better than last year with trapeze artists and such.
Thirdly, its said that yes its right they can't put it in the old batman arena, however enlarging the arena next to chiller and getting new equippment for circo magnifico, like a trapeze, would cost too much. So, instead they will make an all new enclosed arena called either the boardwalk arena, or the superman arena and it will replace the US airforce building, the old lot of G-force and a service road behind it.
Keep in mind this is a rumor and may not be true, but it sounded like a definite possiblility to me when I heard it so I thought I'd share it with you guys and see what you thought.

Yes, but we do have to remember that Gadv did make 3.56 million dollares last season and used almost none of it this season. So, add that money to the money we get this season and they should have a considerable amount of money to spend.

That money is spread pretty thin when you come down to it. Think of all the employees, stock, and operating costs, THEN adding new rides... 3.56 million dollars, maybe even doubled, is not a whole lot of money when it comes to serving almost 2 million people a year. ~Dan

Think about the tow statistics that were just put togther:
- Making 3.56 million dollars - 2 million people a year.
Now unless the adverage person paid $1.78 per visit somthing is not right here. That would lead me to belive that the $3.56 is AFTER expenses or as JJ25 said
"Gadv did make 3.56 million dollars"

Hi all, used to be here a while ago under NITRO. Anyway doesn't it seem like the whole Batman theme is slowly disapearing? I mean they even removed the replica and no longer lease Batman car #3 (yes I know the guy who owns it). It seems to me GA wants to get off the Gotham City theme, I ohnestly think if they could/ wanted to would retheme it. I mean having no Batman show is pretty lame IMO to go with the theme.....
Anyway don't forget the GA was rumored for TWO coasters for awhile. I still say GA is eventually going to get a S-TE clone with use of the side towers alla Australia (forgot the name). Also from what I know GA had the 4-D as the second choice and only mystery was going to be wheter it would include the new/ updated loading system. From what I was told it WILL include the new loading system.

the s:te thing in australia is called tower something. i know it's located at dreamworld. and we WERE supposed to get a superman theme, but we got nitro. anything can happen here, they could very well change the theme anytime, they still have a month to do it.

I think you are referring to Dreamworld's Tower of Terror. I doubt another S:TE type attraction will be built, especially considering either S&S' Thrust Air, or Intamin's "Rocket Coaster" designs offer higher top speeds, and faster acceleration. The rocket coaster design may be popping up alot in the next few years, especially since they allow for more complex layouts.

Yes, Gadv grossed 3.56 million dollares, that was there income after they paid all there expenses. Plus, you have to remember Burke is one of the people who really wants this coaster to be added next year, so the SF company is probably payin for a lot if not all of the expenses for the coaster. I doubt we will se anymore S:TE clones out there, I think intamin's done with that design. They came close to just dropping the whole design after it was built, it took them over 1 and a half years to finally get it workin properly. Just a question: how fast do these intamin rocket coasters go exactly???

Um this years coaster cancelled at the last minute, also they offer different rides all together. The reason it would work is it would kill two birds with one stone, one have a impulse and second offer two different drop/ up towers. Again just my opinion and I guess GA's opinion also for a while.....

"this year's coaster canceled at the last minute" Are you saying that you have inside knowledge that we were supposed to get a S:TE type ride this year???Out of all the rumors, I havent heard one about this yet, I'm sure someone else would have known about it. Frankly, I don't think we were supposed to get a S:TE at all, nor do I want one. I have ridden it, and it isn't really that good. Yes, 100 mph is a nice thrill, but it's all there is. Imagine The chiller, only instead of going thru a tophat, or a cobra roll, all it does is launch, go up the hill, and come back down. I know S:TE is faster, and higher, but u know what I mean

Um no I get info from numerous peeps, kinda strange you or no one here never heard of it because the "rumor" was on a few sites. I dunno maybe people here that have or had inside info kept it a secret like many did till it fell apart. It was usually mentioned with the S&S slingshot that was also scraped for other reasons as well.
Anyway don't take it like I get info directly from Black or whatever. I'm just like the rest of the guys that get little leaks of info but this rumor ALMOST happened and was really kept under raps......
